There are two simple rules that can help you use ‘come’ and ‘go’ correctly:
1- to come implies a movement between the speaker and the listener
2- to go implies a movement from where the speaker or listener is to another place
There is a tip on how to easily remember when to use ‘come’ and when to use ‘go’:
We should think of ‘to come’ as moving closer and of ‘to go’ as moving away
But what happens when we are talking about somebody that is neither the speaker nor the listener?
In this case, it all depends on which point of view we are seeing things.
